Kemijsko ratovanje
Kemijsko ratovanje ili kemijski rat je svaki oblik rata (i uz njih vezanih vojnih operacija) u kome se koriste otrovna svojstva kemijskih supstanci kako bi se ubio, ozlijedio ili onesposobio neprijatelj.
Kemijsko ratovanje se razlikuje od upotrebe konvencionalnog ili [[nuklearno oružje|nuklearnog oružja] jer destruktivni efekti kemijskog oružja nisu primarni rezultat eksplozivne snage. Ofenzivno korištenje živih organizama (kao što je antraks) se smatraju biološkim ratovanjem umjesto kemisjkog ratovanja; korištenje neživih toksičnih tvari proizvedenih od živih organizama (npr. toksina kao što je botulinski toksin, ricin ili saksitoksin) se smatra kemijskim ratovanjem po odredbama Konvencije o kemijskom oružju. Po ovoj Konvenciji, svaka toksična kemikalija, bez obzira na porijekllo, se smatra kemijskim oružjem osim ako se koristi za svrhe nisu izričito zabranjene.
