Simone Weil (Pariz, 3. 2. 1909. – Ashford, 24. 8. 1943), francuska književnica i filozofkinja.

Zarana je zaokupljena "nesrećama svijeta", te je živo suosjećala s proletarijatom. Bila je profesorica filozofije, zatim radnica u tvornici Renault, sudjelovala je u Španskom građanskom ratu, odakle se, narušena zdravlja, vratila nastavničkom pozivu.

Surađivala je u listovima "Revolution proletarienne", "Critique sociale" i dr. Nakon što je 1940. otpuštena iz službe (zbog jevrejskog porijekla), sklanja se u London, gdje radi za Francuski komitet narodnog oslobođenja.

Posmrtno su objavljena njezina filozofska razmatranja, zapisi, bilješke (često bez retuša): Jaram i sloboda, Ukorijenjenost i Svesci. Albert Camus opisao ju je "jedinim velikim duhom našeg vremena".
