- Odvaja signalni peptid sa 3 do 12 aminokiselina sa N-terminala preflagelina, obično na Arg-Gly- ili Lys-Gly-, čime se oslobađa flagelin.
Ovaj enzim je aspartička peptidaza iz Acrhaea.
