Robert od Hereforda

Robert od Hereforda (engleski: Robert of Hereford; također poznat kao Robert od Lorrainea, Robert Losinga i Robert Lotarinžanin; ? - 26. jun 1095) bio je katolički svećenik, kroničar i učenjak koji je postao biskup Hereforda u Engleskoj nakon normanske invazije. O njegovom ranom životu nema podataka; zna se da je bio rodom iz Lotaringije, te da je na Kontinentu stekao reputaciju kao matematičar, astronom i astrolog. U Englesku je došao, prema nekim hipotezama prije, a nekima poslije normanske invazije. Historičarima je njegovo imenovanje za biskupa 1079. upalo u oči s obzirom da, za razliku od drugih biskupa u doba Williama Osvajača nije bio normanskog porijekla. Na mjestu biskupa se nastavio baviti naučnim radom, te mu neki historičari pripisuju uvođenje abakusa u Englesku. Iza sebe je ostavio zapise koji predstavljaju vrijedan izvor o procesu sastavljanja znamenite Knjige Sudnjeg dana.
