Victor Schertzinger

Victor L. Schertzinger (8. april 1888[1] - 26. oktobar 1941) bio je američki kompozitor, filmski režiser, producent i scenarist, poznat kao autor popularnih muzičkih komedija 1930-ih, kao i evergrinova kao što su "I Remember You" i "Tangerine", korištene u njegovom posljednjem filmu The Fleet's In.

Schertzinger je muzičku karijeru započeo još kao dijete, kao vunderkind violinist, a njegov talent mu je omogućio nastupe u orkestru Johna Philipa De Souze te studij muzike u Bruxellesu. Filmsku karijeru je otpočeo zahvaljujući Thomasu Inceu, koji ga je angažira da komponira muziku za njegov spektakularni film Civilization. Schertzingeru se svijet filma dopao, te je počeo baviti režijom, ali je tek dolazak zvučne tehnologije omogućio da u potpunosti koristi svoj muzički talent i obrazovanje. Karijeru mu je prekinula iznenadna smrt od srčanog udara.
