Metalcore

Metalcore je fuzioni muzički pravac koji elemente extreme metal meša sa elementima hardcore panka. Izraz metalcore je nastao spajanjem izraza hardcore i metal (hevi metal). Termin metalcore je dobio svoje sadašnje značenje sredinom 90-tih godina, opisicajući bendove Earth Crisis, Deadguy i Integrity [1] Najstarija grupe ove vrste, Integrity, je počela sa radim 1988. godine.[2] Metalcore se razlikuje od ostalih punk metal fuzija po tome što u muzici najviše ističe Breakdowne: spore, intenzivne odlomke pogodne za gurke.[3]

Istorija uredi

Prethodnici (1977–1984) uredi

Black Flag[4] i Bad Brains[5], jedni od začetnika HardCora, su se divili i u svojoj muzici su imitirali Blek sabat. Britanske Street Punk grupe, kao što su Discharge i The Exploited su inpiraciju za svoju muziku vukli iz Heavy Metala[6]. Album grupe Misfits, Ert ADe (eng. Earth A.D.) imao je veliki uticaj na Trash metal[7]. Ipak, pank i metal kulture i muzika su ostale odvojene tokop prve polovine 1980-tih.

Krosover treš (1984–1988) uredi

Ukrštavanje metal i hardcore muzike dovelo je do stvaranja Crossover thrash scene, na terotoriji Berklija, u Kaliforniji.[8] Termin metalcore se prvo koristio za opisivanje muzike ovih grupa.[9] HardCore punk grupe kao što su Corosion of Conformity[10], Dirty Rotten Imbeciles i Suicidal Tendencies][11] (eng. Suicidal Tendencies), svirali su sa Thrash metal grupama kao što su Metallica i Slayer. The Cro Mags su bili najuticajnija grupa njujorškog hardcora, koji su negovali zvuk hardcora pomešanog sa zvucima grupa Motorhead i Black Sabbath. Takođe, oni su grupa koja je uvela straight edge[12]. Album Cause for Alarm, grupe Agnostik Front (eng. Agnostic Front) iz 1996. godine duboko prožima zvuk hardcora sa metalom.[13]

Metallic Hardcore (1989–2000) uredi

Između 1989. i 1995. godine došao je novi talas hardcore bendova.[2]

Taj novi talas sačinjavali su bendovi Integrity,[14] Earth Crisis,[14][15] Converge,[15] Shai Hulud,[16][17][18] Starkweather, Judge, Bloodlet,[15] Strife,[14] Rorschach, Cave In,[19] Vision of Disorder,[19] Hatebreed,[14][19] and Candiria.[19] Grupa Integrity je inspiraciju vukla od terora japanske hardcore grupe G.I.S.M. i metala grupe Slayer, sa muzičkim elementima grupa Septic Death, Samhain, Motorhead, i Joy Division.[20] Biohazard, Koalesc (eng. Coalesce),[21] i Overkast (eng. Overcast) su takođe jedne od prvih i važnih metalcore grupa. Sve ove grupe su navođene kao "metallic hardcore".[22][23]

Melodični metalcore (1997–danas) uredi

grupa je to što su ove grupe više melodičnije. Prva metalcore grupa koja je imala ove elemente bila je Zao. I grupa zao je imala veliki uticaj na grupe kao što su Unearth, Bullet for My Valentine, Killswitch Engage, Trivium (stariji radovi), Shadows Fall, All That Remains, Underoath i Atreyu[24][25], i sve ove grupe su veoma komercijalno uspešne.

Ostali važni metalcore bendovi su Haste the Day, Darkest Hour, Caliban, Bleeding Through, August Burns Red, Demon Hunter, It Dies Today, The Devil Wears Prada, Parkway Drive, i The Autumn Offering.[26] Glavni uticaj na muziku i tekstove ovih grupa dolazi od Melodični death metal grupa, naročito od In Flames i At the Gates.[24][26] U melodičnom metalcoru, pevači češće pevaju "clean" deonice[27][28][29], što je drugačije od običnog metalcora.

Karakteristike uredi

Instrumentalizacija uredi

Metalcore grupe najčešće imaju dvoje glavnih gitarista i jedhog ritam gitaristu, koji svira brze rifove. Gitare su najčešće koriste drop-tune štim, sve od D štima, pa čak i do A štima, mada je standard za metalcore C štim. Basisti obično prate ritam gitaristu. Čak neke metalcore grupe imaju i klavijaturistu.

Vokali uredi

Metalcore pevači najčešće pevaju death metal grovlima i vriskovima, što je bilo obično za metalcore grupe 90-tih godina. Današnje metalcore grupe često kombinuju grovlove i melodično pevanje ("clean" vokali - "normalno pevanje")[27].

Pod-pravci metalcora uredi

Deathcore uredi

Deathcore predstavlja muzički pravac nastao mešanjem death metala i metalcora.[30] Iako je podvrsta metalcora, deathcore je pod velikim uticajem death metala, zbog svoje brzine, težine i hromatskim, prigušenim "nestabilim" rifovaljem sa čestim menjanjem ritma. Deathcore često ima breakdowne i melodične rifove.

Mathcore uredi

Era mathcore počinje sredinom 90-tih godina, sa radovima grupa Converge[31], Botch[32][33] i The Dillinger Escape Plan[34]. Termin mathcore je nastao, zbog muziške slišnosti sam Mat rokom (eng. Math rock). Karakteristike mathcora su: brzo tehničko rifovanje, i neobičnim vremenskim signaturama.[35][36] Grupe kao što su Protest the Hero, Ion Dissonance,[37] i Fear Before,[38] su poznate po tome što mešaju metalcore standarde sa Progresiv metal elementima.
