As for the :Category:Humanističke nauke, it is an exact match with the English Humanities, whereas the Human Sciences is a rather novel concept for me. I would translate it as "Nauke o čoveku", but frankly wouldn't quite be sure as to which disciplines to include in it. --Igor Windsor 09:29, 2 May 2007 (CEST)

:I've had a look at the French Sciences humaines, and I must say that they seem to be at a loss as well, for as I can understand why e.g. categories such as Urbanisme or Sciences cognitives are listed there, I am at a loss as to why the same category contains e.g. Orientaliste, Indologie, or Archéologie. Speaking of which, I must say that, whereas I still do not claim any knowledge of the notion of "Human Sciences", I know for a fact that the Humanities (which I am quite familiar with) certainly do include Archaeology. However, you are quite right as to the semantics of the word Nauka (singular) or Nauke (plural): it is commonly used in terms of both "sciences" (as in the empirical disciplines) and "studies" (in terms of scholarly research). Maybe that can cast some light upon the ambiguity of the supposed Human Sciences? --Igor Windsor 03:08, 5 May 2007 (CEST)
