==Geografija==
Puducherry se sastoji od četiri mala razdvojena okruga: [[Puducherry (grad)|Puducherry]], [[Karaikal]] i [[Yanam (Indija)|Yanam]] na obali [[Bengalski zaljev|Bengalskog zaljeva]] i [[Mahé]] na obali [[Arapsko more|Arapskog mora]]. Puducherry i Karaikal su najveći, i oba enklave u [[Tamil Nadu]]u. Yanam i Mahé su enklave u [[Andhra Pradesh]]u i [[Kerala|Kerali]]. Teritorija ima ukupnu površinu od 492 [[km²]]: ''Puducherry (grad)'' 293 km², ''Karaikal'' 160 km², ''Mahé'' 9 km² i ''Yanam'' 30 km². Ima 900.000 stanovnika (2001).
