Makon (fr. Mâcon) je grad u istočnoj Francuskoj. Nalazi se u departmanu Saona i Loara, u regionu Burgonji, oko 60 kilometara severno od Liona. Kroz grad protiče reka Saona.
IstorijaUredi
Grad je osnovan u 3. veku p. n. e. na mestu ranijeg keltskog naselja, gde su Rimljani sazidali tvrđavu (kastrum). Prvobitno ime mu je bilo Matisko. U 6. veku, Franci su osvojili ovu oblast, a Makon je 536. postao sedište biskupije. Tokom 13. veka Makon je bio prestonica moćne Burgundske grofovije. Grad je pretrpeo teška razaranja u Stogodišnjem ratu.
