John Reed
Za ostale osobe s istim imenom, v. John Reed (razvrstavanje).John Silas "Jack" Reed (22. oktobar 1887 – 17. oktobar 1920) bio je američki pjesnik, novinar i socijalistički aktivist, najpoznatiji po knjizi Deset dana koji su potresli svijet, u kojoj je iz prve ruke opisao Oktobarsku revoluciju u Rusiji 1917. godine. Reed se prije toga proslavio kao ratni dopisnik, izvještavajući o Meksičkoj revoluciji i Prvom svjetskom ratu tokom koga je kraće vrijeme boravio i u Srbiji. Svjedočenje ratu i njegovim strahotama, a još više neuspjeh socijalističke Druge internacionale da ga spriječi, radikalizirala je njegove stavove i učinila ga vatrenim poklonikom ruskih boljševika, a kasnije i jednim od osnivača Komunističke partije SAD. Umro je u Moskvi kao funkcionar Kominterne te je pokopan u zidinama Kremlja.
