Wilson je jedan od urednika časopisa Popular Mechanics, gdje je poznat po nadimkom "Resident Roboticist".[2] Najpoznatiji je po romanu Robocalypse koji je postao bestseler, i koji bi trebao poslužiti kao predložak za istoimeni igrani film.
