Sveti Máel Ruain[1] (? -792) bio je osnivač i opat-biskup samostana Tallaght u Irskoj (na području današnje Grofovije Dublin). Često se navodi kao vodeća ličnost svojevrsnog monaškog pokreta kome su kasniji historičari dali ime Céli Dé. Ne smije ga se miješati sa istoimenom kasnijom ličnošću Máel Ruaina, biskupa Lusce (također u Grofoviji Dublin).
